My boyfriend absolutely love etymology, so I was going to get him one of those dictionaries. Instead I decided to purchase this and he is in love. He tells me how addicting it is, and he reads it all the time. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. (Photo attached of when he first received it lol)

I have always been interested in the origins of words, especially those of my native language (English). Serious students of linguistics will require larger compilations, but I recommend this small dictionary as an excellent beginning.

Enjoyable to read and compare the related words. Nicely set out, like reading history stories.
