This is a very colorful book filled with fun and varied puzzles. However, my son has focus and processing issues so the layout of this book does not work for him at all. I added a photo in case your child has the same issues. Too much going on per page. It overwhelms him.I will either return this or give it to a friend.
My clever 8 year old has spend HOURS reading/playing with this book. It literally has kept her occupied longer than ANY OTHER TOY OR BOOK she owns. The puzzles are challenging, separated into different types, and include answers in the back. I have to admit, I have also poured over this book solving multi-step hidden object puzzles! GREAT BUY!As far as an age recommendation - my child reads at 5th grade level, but is still very "8 yrs old" when it comes to reasoning and following instructions. The multi-step puzzles do require some parent participation, but she has not run into anything that was so hard as to be frustrating or make her want to give up on the book.
This is what I was looking for...clever, a bit challenging, something different than the usual "busy" book for kids. Took my 7 y/o grandson on vacation and he really got into it during down time. He brought it along on car rides and tested us with it! I even found my husband working on it a couple times. Very pleased. I know he'll continue to work on it now that the vaca is over.
My 10 year old daughter got this for Christmas. She loves it so far, says it's very fun. It's just difficult enough for an older child or tween to be challenging, yet still silly enough to be entertaining.
Me and my son like doing activity books together at bedtime and they are all the same in a way. This book is set up different some of the puzzles are smaller on the page however I don’t see where it makes a difference really it just adds to the book makes it different in a good way
My 10 year old loves this book! He's been carrying it all over the house with him. It has some fun, yet challenging puzzles for him to complete. I would recommend this book!
Really fun book. I was looking for bedtime activities to do with my 10-year old. Perfect, fun book!
I bought this hoping to use it in my classroom. However it is not setup with one puzzle on one page. Each page has several different activities printed rather small and at all angles. My students can't work in pairs to solve the problems.
