Everyone needs to read this book. The ever so kind and gracious Doctor Singh gives specific formulas to regain brain health. He has succeeded in restoring damaged brains in race drivers involved in terrible race accidents suffering horrific brain damage; damage other surgeons signed-off as irreversible; he's proven to reverse Alzheimer's disease! And stresses the fact a Healthy Brain means a Healthy Heart and vice-versa.This is a must-read for health conscious individuals that are seriously concerned about brain health. Personally, I liked the book so much I Xeroxed an entire copy for myself --this is back when it was first published. My recommendation is the book is worth its weight in gold. Myself, having worked in a library for 17 years, I feel my perspective is unbiased and objective. I own the book myself. The rapid improvement is astonishing. After taking various recommended supplements, I feel the brain regenerating. Memory,focus and concentration have returned to their youthful state. The book is witty, and gets better with every page. But, Lordhelp me to stick with Kundalina Yoga-- totally brutal. I'm very grateful to Dr. Khalsa and Eastern Medicine. A must read foranyone with noticeable mental decline. At 52, the energy level stays consistent throughout the day so I can cope withwhatever threatens happiness.

Bought this after having read it a couple years ago (gave away the book to a friend who's mom was experiencing early onset Alzheimer's.) The primary purpose for re-acquiring this book was for the brain exercises. I couldn't recall how to do a few in here and the illustrations definitely help. Though the book was written in the late '90s, it's still one of my personal favorites. Mostly because of its easy readability. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel or sell you a yacht when you only need a paddle. Its functional, it's logical, it works. And while 'Limitless' may sound awesome (and it does) there will never be any panacea for health other than diet, exercise, and supplementation. So, if you want a quick fix, this book is not for you (nor should you continue looking for a quick fix. It doesn't exist.) As for the quality of the book, I bought it used pretty good, through one of Amazon's verified sellers(with a good review, 4.5 stars+ or so) and the description provided matched the way I received it. No highlighting, no ripped pages, just a good solid hardcover book. So, enjoy reading this wonderful book & I hope this review helps you.

I read about this book in a magazine article. My family has a history of dementia and I realized I had become so forgetful that I couldn't complete a thought or remember words. I would stare blankly after entering a room, wondering why I was there. I was becoming frightened by the degree of confusion and memory loss I was experiencing. It was scary.So I ordered Brain Longevity and was relieved that it was reader friendly, not all dry science. I saw myself in some of the case studies, so I became more interested in trying what he recommended. There's an easy to follow set of charts telling the reader what supplements to take, depending on what their personal needs are.Dr.Khalsa says in the book, if you do nothing else that I recommend, at least take these three supplements....that sounded easy enough to do. I ordered them and started to take 1/2 the dosage he recommended and I took them every day. Within a month I suddenly realized I had not been blanking out and searching for words the way I had been doing. Suddenly I could recall what I was trying to remember. There is a very obvious difference in my thoughts and memory, and believe me, I had been getting really confused. I decided to raise my dosage to what he recommends because I don't want to 'lose my mind', as my poor mother says to me from the darkness of dementia.I believe this book is saving my life from the descent into darkness that loss of memory and diminished brain function would have brought to me if I didn't follow what it says to do.P.S. I am only 61. I don't want to spend the rest of my years losing my mind.

I had a good idea of the book's content from flipping through a friend's copy. It has lived up to expectations. On the strength of having browsed the book's content, I ordered three so that I would be able to pass two on to a sister and to a close friend. They are both delighted with the book, and have already started to try to put its advice into practice.Plausible advice about brain-helpful diet and life style, clearly explained and illustrated with case anecdotes. I am happy with my purchase and with the service by Amazon partners. [The book was in excellent condition as stated and had been careful packed for despatch.]

I love this book. It's very easy to read, is packed with interesting info about our brains, and best of all describes the brain longevity program in detail. For you note takers, there's a table towards the back of the book that lists his recommended supplements, like vitamins, minerals, Ginko and so on that would have saved me time if I had known about it while reading the book. That's one weakness of Kindle books I guess is they are not as easy to scan as printed books. Anyway, the book has helped me tremendously. I went from not being able to focus for more than 5 minutes with major brain fog and short and long term memory problems to being back to my normal self. Being a technical writer, memory and focus is essential for continued employment. :-)
